Folders and Organization
Folders and Organization
As your asset list grows, folders become essential for keeping things tidy. My Assets and Project Assets come with five top-level category folders — Character, Background, Bgm, Sfx, and Mov — and inside them you can create folders with any name and nest sub-folders as deeply as you like.
Creating Folders
Open a category folder and click the new folder button to create a folder. You can choose any name, and repeating the same action inside a folder you created makes a sub-folder. Folders cannot be created at the top level (root).
Navigating Folders
Click a folder to enter it. To go back up, click the relevant segment in the breadcrumb trail or use the parent-folder link.
Renaming
Both asset files and folders can be renamed. Click the rename button on the item, and a dialog will open for you to enter a new name.
Deleting
Both files and folders can be deleted. Deleting a folder also removes every sub-folder and file inside it, so proceed carefully. Deleted assets cannot be recovered.
How the Asset List Works
Currently, the asset list behaves as follows:
- Sorting: Items are sorted by name in ascending order.
- Grid View: Assets are displayed as thumbnails in a grid. The number of items per row adjusts automatically based on screen size.
- Image Preview: Click the magnifier icon on an image asset to view it at full size.
Tips
- Creating sub-folders per character or per location inside the category folders makes related files easy to find.
- File names with spaces or special characters are automatically converted to safe characters at upload time, so you do not need to rename them to English beforehand.
